After an initial chemistry check meeting, the coachee will agree with their coach the objectives and the number of sessions for achieving them. Coaching sessions are run either in person or online at times that suit the coachee. Our coaching is action orientated meaning that there will be both a focus on achieving the coaching objectives and actions for the coachee after each session.

Your leadership coach will work with you to develop a tailored executive leadership coaching programme and will use tools such a 360-degree feedback and personality profiles, to better refine an effective leadership coaching arrangement. A high level of confidentiality is agreed upfront and any feedback that is to be given to the organisation, will be pre agreed. Leadership coaching sessions normally last about 90 - 120 minutes and are face to face, however, they can also be run via Teams or Zoom.

We currently provide executive leadership coaching services to a wide range of middle and senior level leaders from blue chip companies. This also allows us to link up leaders from different organisations, in order to create a leadership coaching community. Corporate coaching or coaching designed to promote a culture where there is a coaching leadership style, is also a typical driver for engaging one of our certified executive coaches. RAPID RESULTS COACHING

Rapid Results Executive Coaching is an intensive set of 10 sessions, over a 3 or 4 month period, normally in response to a specific time constrained need, such as preparation for an event, a sudden promotion or simply because the manager must up their skills quickly.

This process is all about speed and therefore timings and locations for the meetings are very flexible, often including late night phone calls, to help prepare for key events the following day. Protostar are one of the few executive coaching firms that offers this level of flexibility at an affordable price.

The style of leadership coaching is more directive than in our standard executive coaching arrangements and the sessions will often combine leadership coaching with a practical working session, for instance planning an event, scripting a conversation or researching specific facts.

LEADER AS COACH - GAIN AC CERTIFICATION

Protostar deliver coaching skills for managers workshops (or for those with opportunities to coach) in two formats:

• 4 days coaching skills for managers training + 3 hours of observed coaching - To gain Association For Coaching (AC) accreditation

• 2 day basic management coaching skills training

Please note these programmes are not run as public events but are tailored to meet the needs of organisations and run in house in order to develop a coaching leadership style. Accreditation is one of our key executive coaching services and we can put you in touch with companies that have worked with us to get their managers certified.
Protostar have designed a coaching skills programme that meets the requirements of the Association For Coaching (AC) so that upon completion, participants can apply for Associate membership status. If you want your organisation to provide corporate executive coaching, you can either use our certified executive coaches or we can train your leaders.

The AC requirements are that you must complete
50 hours of training
40 hours of logged coaching
Provide a testimonial of professional competence

We deliver 4 full day coaching skills workshops spread out over an agreed period of time, plus online activities to meet the 50 hour requirement. Participants keep a log of all coaching to meet the 40 hours requirement. 

In order to provide a testimonial of professional competence, participants must be observed for 3 hours utilising a range of coaching techniques for managers. Once all these elements are complete a testimonial will be provided along with the application form for the AC. If you already have in house coaches we can provide executive coaching consulting and help develop them further or set up supervision teams.

On day 3, we cover: Coaching leadership style. self reflection techniques, interpreting eye contact, GAPS Model Coaching and observed practice of using GAPS.

On day 4, we cover: Dealing with coaching challenges, transactional analysis, management coaching, coaching Alpha males/females and observed practice using multiple techniques

2 DAY COACHING SKILLS WORKSHOPS

The two day coaching skills programme is aimed at managers that want to incorporate coaching in to their day to day activities but don't want to become an accredited coach. It is also ideal for people with no people management responsibilities but where they do need to coach others. In addition, bespoke programmes can be developed to meet your needs.
